Remember that Cooking with the Kids involves many Activity of Daily Living Skills that they will need for Life!  And you cannot beat a cooking activity to work in everyday math. Cutting a pice of bread in two involves fractions.  You can have the children count the number of ingredients, or how many times you have to stir.  Yo can pose subtraction problems by asking how many ingredients you have left if you remove this or that.  You can begin multiplication and division by figuring out how many items for how many students (6 pretzels times 8 students equals ? pretzels or 48 pretzels divided by 8 students equals how many pretzels per student).
