Officially, Doctor's Day is March 30th.
Personal MD Bag

Materials Needed:
Manila Folder
Markers
Scissors
Band Aids
Cotton Balls
Tongue Depressors/Popsicle sticks
Glue or tape
Hole punch
Yarn/Ribbon for handles
Directions:
Draw a straight line across the top of the folder.
Cut across the line to make both sides even.
Punch two holes 3 inches apart from the center on both tops.
Feed some yarn through the holes and knot to form the MD bag handles.
Draw a cross on the front of the bag and color it in red
Run a little glue along the inside of the two sides of the folder and close. Let dry.
Fill the Doctor's bag with items the children can use to be doctors- cotton balls, band aids, individual wet wipes, tongue depressor, pad and pencil to write prescriptions. Make an eye chart by drawing letters on a small sheet of cardboard. Make a stethoscope by hanging a small plastic lid from yarn and tie to wear around the neck. Take a Popsicle stick and mark it at intervals and color the bottom red to look like a thermometer.
The children will love making everyone well!
This craft is great for working on cutting and coloring skills. Playing with the kit is great for bilateral motor control.
Appreciation Card for the Doctor

Materials Needed:
Sheet of Paper
Scissors
Markers or Crayons
Old Magazines or construction paper shapes
Glue
Directions:
Have the child fold the paper into half and then into quarters.
Leaf through the magazines to find pictures of people that seem healthy- nutritious foods, exercise, etc. and tear them out.
The cut the pictures out and arrange them on the card. OR, use basic shapes and create a figure from them, on our sample we used circles and half circles.
Draw or write a greeting for the doctor, expressing your appreciation for the job they do.
This craft is great for teaching how to fold and for working on cutting and printing skills.
