We are starting a new page at  the OT to Go site for all you Outstanding Teachers and Therapists!  We know it is the time of year you want to show your students how much you care for them, but unfortunately, at this time of year it takes a lot of $$$$$$.  So this page is dedicated to making you BETTER shoppers for next year's purchases!

Everyone knows that August is the time of year that school supplies go on sale!  Crayons can be had for 9 cents a box--markers for fifty cents and glue sticks--two for a quarter!  How many of you thought of buying those supplies as holiday presents for your students!  Several teachers and therapists that we told last August are thanking us now!  They have let us know that they spent a little over 1 dollar a child, and have a bag that contains, crayons, markers, colored pencils and glue sticks!  This time a year those same markers and colored pencils are going for $2.77 a box and the crayons for .98!  That is over a $5.00 savings per child!   So next August--plan ahead!  The children LOVE getting new school supplies--either to leave in the classroom or take home, depending on what your district's needs are.

The reindeer ornaments that are featured this December in the craft section-- at last year's after Christmas clearance sale, those packages of silk ornaments were down to 50 cents a bag!

Now we are going to give you additional items to look for at the after Christmas clearance sales:

Holiday bags-- great to send home homemade gifts in next year!
Holiday Cookie Cutters--great in the dramatic play area, or to use with making salt dough or play dough!
Small Holiday Trees!--We had the children pull the branches down on a 16 inch tree. Then add fruity loops to the ends, decorated gingerbread cookies with holes in them--the added pipe cleaners as hooks to secure them to the tree.  We had bought "after" Halloween candies on sale, and taped pipe cleaner hooks to the backs of the candies to hang! The end result--a Sugar and Spice tree any home would be proud to display!  The cost--less than $1.10 per child!  We sent them home in hand decorated brown paper bags, with hand colored cards,  and got glowing comments from every parent!

Christmas Kiss Candies--save them for February's craft!

Easter and Spring Items have just gone on sale for 70% off--so scoop up those plastic eggs--they can be used for math skills (filled with different numbers of beans, pennies etc.) or cut off the tops with a hot knife and use to plant grass seed and grow "hair" on Mr. or Mrs. "Good Egg".  The Easter grass will come in handy for upcoming craft ideas!  Remember, if you see a good buy-think of the possibilities!  If you need some ideas-contact us, tell us about the items you have found-and we will find ideas that suit the product!
