animal that starts with that letter. The child practices printing
the letter on the hatband. Then the child colors the hat and cuts
the hat out. After assembling the hat, the child can wear it to
reinforce the letter of the day. Each letter design is repeated
on one of four cutting pages. You have a straight line for random
snips or straight cutting. A curved line for curved cutting, a
stair step design for simple shape cutting and a spiky design for
complex shape cutting. The hats were designed on legal paper to
accommodate any hairstyle from pigtails to dreadlocks. The book
