(2001) This book has 25 theme related hat designs that are
repeated 4 times- each for a different level of cutting skill.
First you color your hat, embellish it if you wish, print your name on
the hat band and then cut out your hat. Then you join the two
ends and put on your hat. Now it is theme (party) time!
The first hat in each theme meets the
needs of the random or straight line cutter. The second design is
geared for the curved line cutter, the third for the simple shape
e cutter and the last is for complex shape cutting. The hats can be
downsized to fit smaller heads-they were designed to fit even the
biggest hairdos you will find in a classroom (the book is 8 1/2"
x14"). The book includes great information on the development of
scissors skills and how to teach the correct way to hold a
scissors. This is truly an Inclusion book- as it addresses
ALL levels of cutting you will find in your classrooms!
